Walls and Gates The city had walls in polygonal work, about 3km long and about 5m high, dating back to the Ivth cen. B.C., this wall had four "scee" gates, corresponding to the four cardinal points: At the north the "Fellonica" gate, at east the gate of "Massa" or "Corfinio", at south the "south"gate, at west the "Maxima" gate. Besides the cyclopean walls, the colony had on the south-west side a type of walls, called "Sillane"- Ist cen.B.C.
